A series of continuing education programs hosted by the partners of The Senior Health and Wellness Center: The MetroHealth System, the Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging, and the Visiting Nurse Association of Ohio.

- Participants will have a better understanding of the Elder Justice Act and why it is important to the Affordable Care Act.
- Participants will describe previous mindsets on treatment of persons with DD
- Participants will identify current concerns for persons who are aging with DD
- Participants will define how the networks can work together to improve quality of life for persons with DD and their families

Learning Objectives: Participants will learn the physiological changes that occur as we age that can impact physical/sexual relationships; recognize common health issues that impact physical;/sexual relationships; understand the impact pharmacology can have on physical/sexual relationships; and recognize sexual and other issues experience by aging gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered populations.
