CONFERENCE CELEBRATES APPLIED RESEARCH IN AGING

The Margaret Blenkner Research Institute of the Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a special conference at the Bertram Inn and Conference Center in Aurora, Ohio on Friday, November 9, 2012.

The conference, entitled "Margaret Blenkner Research Institute 50th Anniversary: Celebrating the Partnership of Research Practice, and Policy on Aging," will highlight evidence-based programs that help older adults and their families live healthier lives.

Internationally renowned speakers will provide their perspectives on translating research into programs and policies that have the greatest impact on the aging population. Speakers include:

During the conference luncheon, an Innovation in Caregiving award will be presented to three individuals in the community who created solutions to caregiving challenges.

Sign-in and continental breakfast begin at 8:30 a.m.; the program begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 4:30 pm.

The cost of the event is $75 with a discount price of $40 for students and seniors. Luncheon-only registration is also available for $35.

5.5 continuing education credits will be available for social workers, nurses, counselors and nursing home administrators.
