Current Research Projects

Since its founding in 1963, the Research Institute has conducted a variety of innovative projects and programs related to health and social services, family relationships, long-term care, and health care policy.

Current major areas of research are:

Family Caregiving: Examine a variety of issues related to family care for an older relative such as psychological, emotional, physical, and social consequences; care-related values and preferences; quality of family relationships; and family decision making.
