Our Mission : To advance the health, independence and dignity of older adults

Eileen Beal, MA

A former Cleveland Public Schools teacher and assistant editor of the Cleveland Jewish News, freelance writer Eileen Beal is now focusing her writing efforts on aging issues. Why? "Aging affects every aspect of life--health, emotion, spirit, family and monetary matters," she explains.

Ms. Beal writes the Benjamin Rose Institute-sponsored Successful Aging columns that appear in the Sun Newspapers. The goal of the Successful Aging column is to motivate two groups: older adults and their caregivers. "I want to get them thinking and acting in a positive manner toward the aging process," says Ms. Beal, who has completed a certification in medical writing from American Medical Writers Association and is currently seeking a certificate in geriatrics through the Western Reserve Geriatric Education Center.

Most recently, Ms. Beal was commissioned to write a history of the Benjamin Rose Institute in celebration of our 100th year of serving older adults and their caregivers.
