Farida K. Ejaz is a Senior Research Scientist at the Margaret Blenkner Research Center of the Benjamin Rose Institute (BRI). Dr. Ejaz received her Ph.D. in Social Welfare from the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, Case Western Reserve University. She has over 20 years of experience in conducting applied aging research. Her research interests include examining quality of life and care in residential care facilities from the perspective of older adults, their families and the staff. Other interests include examining the breadth and scope of home and community based services offered by states’ using federal, state, and local funding sources.

She has taught courses at local universities, published over 25 articles in peer reviewed journals, co-edited books, written book chapters, and has presented at numerous national and local conferences including the Gerontological Society of America, American Society on Aging/National Conference on Aging, Society for Social Work and Research, LeadingAge (formerly AAHSA), and Academy Health. She is a Fellow of the Gerontological Society of America, a member of the Research Committee of the American Society on Aging, a member of the National Association of Social Workers and a member of The Association for Gerontology in Higher Education.
