Areas of Expertise: Caregiver Stress, Decision-making Involvement of Cognitively Impaired Individuals, Program Evaluation
Dr. Menne earned a doctorate in Sociology (with an emphasis on aging and medical sociology) at Case Western Reserve University. Her research explores the theoretical underpinnings of the stress process for individuals with cognitive impairment and family caregivers. Some of her more recent investigations examine the daily decision-making involvement of individuals with dementia. She also conducts program evaluations, including the replication of evidence-based programs offered in community settings. For more than 10 years, she has presented research findings in local, national, and international forums. Her publications include gerontological journal articles, encyclopedia entries, and book chapters.
