Dementia inclusive communities

Thursday, December 6, 2018

This conference will explore dementia inclusive communities; what they are, why they are important and how they benefit both individuals with dementia and their family or friend caregivers. Kristen Felten, Dementia Specialist with the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services Office on Aging, and co-author of the "Toolkit for Building Dementia-Friendly Communities", will serve as the keynote speaker and will discuss dementia friendly communities in Wisconsin, and how a toolkit developed through the Wisconsin Healthy Brain Initiative can serve as a guide for implementing and sustaining dementia inclusive communities in Wisconsin, and other states.
