Cuyahoga County Community Mental Health Board

The Cuyahoga County Community Mental Health Board (CCCMHB) is responsible for the planning, funding and monitoring of public mental health services in Cuyahoga County . The CCCMHB works with 34 provider agencies to develop a system of care that enables adults and children to have access to quality and culturally competent mental health services to help control their illness and achieve personal goals.

The Department of Senior and Adult Services (DSAS) provides in-home and community services to seniors, disabled and vulnerable adults based on individual need. Golden Age Centers

The Golden Age Centers provide a safety net of services that allow older adults the opportunity to live independent lives in the security of their own homes. Services include home-delivered meals, meals in groups settings, counseling, caregiver support, education programs, social activities and health promotion.

McGregor

The history of McGregor dates back to one of Cleveland's first private rest homes, the Home for Aged Women, The Amasa Stone House endowed in 1877. Tootie McGregor, established The A.M. McGregor home in 1904 to honor her late husband Ambrose, a close associate of John D. Rockefeller. The vision of The Gardens originated with the merger of these two fine institutions. Construction started in 2001 and continued until February 2004 when the staff and residents of the two legacy facilities moved in.

The Ohio Department of Aging serves more than 2 million older Ohioans. It promotes positive attitudes toward aging and older people through outreach, volunteer programs and other efforts. It also provides home and community-based services that help frail individuals remain in their own homes and support consumers of long-term care.

RSVP

RSVP volunteers deliver meals to homebound residents, lead tours at museums, tend community gardens, tutor children and adults, comfort patients at hospitals and nursing homes, provide clerical assistance, sort donated food and other activites for nonprofit agencies in the Greater Cleveland area. Formerly the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, RSVP now offers opportunities for volunteers as young as 18 year.

The Senior Health & Wellness Center is the result of a unique collaboration of four local organizations committed to providing services to older adults: The MetroHealth System (senior health specialists and skilled nursing care), the Visiting Nurse Association of Cleveland (hospice care), Concordia Care (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly), and the Benjamin Rose Institute (evaluation research, social work and mental health).

Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAAA) is a private nonprofit organization designated by the state of Ohio to be the implementing agency for federal and state aging programs in Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain and Medina Counties.
