Hoarding can create significant health, safety and quality-of-life concerns for older adults, their families and the professionals who serve them. This presentation will explore the signs and characteristics of hoarding, best practices for intervention and harm reduction, strategies for working collaboratively with individuals and community partners, as well as an opportunity for audience Q&A.
The session is especially relevant for professionals who serve older adults, including health care providers, social workers, senior service providers and housing professionals. Older adults and family members interested in learning more are also welcome to attend.
