Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging Hosting Annual Caregiving Conference

Event will address identification, detection, and referral of individuals with Alzheimer’s Disease

CLEVELAND, Ohio (December 1, 2022) - Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging, a leading organization in the aging and caregiving space, will be hosting their annual Caregiving Conference on December 8, 2022. This year’s event focuses on research and practices related to the identification, detection and referral of individuals with Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementia, with emphasis on diversity and dementia diagnosis. Throughout the day, a panel of local experts will discuss barriers to being diagnosed with dementia and the services available following a diagnosis.

The conference is presented by the Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program and features keynote speakers Dr. Richard H. Fortinsky and Jennifer Pettis from the Gerontological Society of America (GSA), who will both present on the development and implementation of the KAER Toolkit for Primary Care Teams.

“This event is a unique opportunity for caregivers from a variety of settings to come together in support of timely dementia diagnosis and care,” says Orion Bell, president and CEO of Benjamin Rose. “In addition to our keynote speakers, who are leaders in the field of aging research, local experts will participate in panel discussions to address barriers to dementia diagnosis and services available.”

Northeast Ohio Medical University designates this live activity for a maximum of 5.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. CE Credits will also be available to conference attendees.
