[Cleveland, OH] November, 14

WHAT: The Rose Centers for Aging Well Turkey Bowl

Participants from Benjamin Rose’s Lakeshore and Gunning Park Rose Centers for Aging Well will bowl with a Cornish hen, knocking down canned Thanksgiving side dishes. Competitors will then be entered into raffles to win Thanksgiving birds and canned goods to bring home for their holiday celebrations. Boxed lunches will be available to participants, and one-man band Tom Todd will provide entertainment.

WHEN: November 16th, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

WHERE: Paul W. Alandt (Lakeshore) Rose Center for Aging Well
16600 Lakeshore Blvd, Cleveland, OH 44110

WHY: For the past few years, The Rose Centers Turkey Bowl has been a source of joy, connection, laughter and friendly competition for older adults in our community, especially in the aftermath of the increased social isolation caused by the pandemic, which disproportionally effected older adults.
The Rose Centers for Aging Well serves Northeast Ohio neighborhoods by providing transportation, programming, and daily meals to older adults, enabling more than 2,200 people to live independently at home and stay active in their communities. The Rose Centers are a member of Meals on Wheels America and are a core part of Benjamin Rose’s Home and Community Based Services.

Lakeshore Center Director Carla Collins will be on hand for interviews at the event.
